ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of shareholders. • pf the Canterbury Central Co-operative Dairy Company was held on Saturday in the. Chamber of Commerce. There was a good attendance. Mr J. .Barnett presided. • ■ The chairman, in reviewing the position, advocated the consignment by the company of the export butter. There was a stronger competition than . formerly; and, therefore, the greatest should be taken with the milk ’supply and the cooling. There’should be a better price during the winter for butter-fat. The report and balance-sheet were adopted after some discussion. Messrs R. Hill Fisher and Son were re-elected auditors. ■ A. vote of thanks to the employees was carried unanimously. "Messrs John Barnett, E. Lord, W. F. Parkinson, G. Stahbury, E. Savill, G. Rennie, H. T. Chapman and W. Watson' were elected directors, and a vote of thanks to the retiring directors terminated the meeting.
