■■<. [From Our Correspondent.} DUNEDIN, October 13. It is proposed to unveil the Otago Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial, on the Oval, on November 30, people’s day at the summer show. Lord Plunket will he invited to perform the ceremony, and the Premier and other Ministers are expected to be present. As a result of a surprise visit by the police to a number of city hotels, one publican was prosecuted for adulteration, and another for using a misleading label on a bottle containing liquor. The phenomenally fine weather of the past month continues. Rain would be very welcome, especially on the higher levels, where a. water famine is threatened.
