PIGEON FLYING.

The Christchurch Homing Tigaon Society flaw off a federation race from Seachff. oa Saturday in conjunction .with the Canterbury Flying’ Club, 113 birds being sept, representing thirty-five owners. The birds were liberated at 9.3 Q a.ra., in fine weather, with an easterly wind. The- winner, 'Mr Jit. Seales’ Maxim, flew the distance of 183 miles ait-Him in Shr Imin 43sec.
