[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 15. Tenders for the Auckland Harbour Board’s accident insurance for the coming year were dealt with at' a meeting of the Board to-day. Three tender's were and they showed a marked difference in amount, as well as a very considerable reduction on last year’s payment. The Norwich and Lon- • don Company tendered at £B7 6s 9d, the New Zealand Company at £74 18s 3d, and the South British Company at £32 18e 3d. The amount paid last year by the Board was £167. The secretary said that in respect to the office staff and other employees of tho Board in non-hazardous occupations, the rata under the lowest of the new tenders was only, one-third of that paid last year, being 2s as compared with 6s, whilst in regard to labourers, etc., the new rate was 5s as against 30s last year. The lowest tender was accepted.
