OPERA HOUSE. The Fuller programme was repeated last night, at the Opera House, before a large audience. The items gave great satisfaction to all tastes, * and the artistes were heartily applauded from every part of the house. As a mirthraiser, the performance was a complete success. The company Will give the usual performance this evening. WEST’S PICTURES. There was again a large house at the Canterbury Hall last night, when an entirely new series of pictures was shown by West’s Company. These included views of the New- Zealand footballers at Home, the running of. tho ©x-New Zealander, Moifaa, in the Grand National Steeplechase, and other interesting items. The pictures were warmly appreciated, as was also the delightful , musical entertainment provided by the Bresciane. There will be another performance of the same programme to-night. THE “J.P.” TJi ere was a good house at the Theatre Roj-al last night, when the “ J.P.” was again produced. The audience was most enthusiastic in its applause, and there was a general evidence of approbation. The “ J.P.” will continue to preside until Thursday next, w-hen he will stand down in favour of a new comedy entitled “ There and Back.” THE MAGIC KETTLE. The three papular “shows” that are nightly providing entertainment for Christchurch will meet on Thursday afternoon in the Canterbury Hall, on the common ground of a benefit performance for Professor Andrews, th© liquid air demonstrator, who has recently appeared before Christchurch audiences. The Strand Theatre Comedy Company, more popularly * known, perhaps, by the title of the successful play, as the “ J.P. Company,” West’s Pictures and the Bresciane and Fuller’s Entertainers will all contribute to a programme to be as pleasing to th© audience as it will be complimentary to Professor Andrews. Miss Florence Lloyd and Mr J. J. Dallas will bo among the representatives of th© Dramatic Company, West’s Pictures will include th© famous representation of “The Lost Child,” the Bresciane will give a musical entertainment, and Messrs Frank King and Sam Wilson will endeavour to transport the merriment of the Opera House to th© Canterbury Hall. The beneficiare will also show the wonders of his magic kettleful of liquid air.
