[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, December 17. At the Supreme Court William Bradley petitioned for divorce from bis wife Liiex Jane Bradley, on ground of her alleged adultery with Robert Webby. His Honor granted a decree nisi, to bo made absolute after three months, with costs.
WELLINGTON, December 16. Bernard Alfred Gifford, who pleaded guilty to a large number of charges of breaking and entering and theft, came up for sentence this morning. Tho Chief Justice, in sentencing him to six years’ imprisonment, said tho offences, if taken separately, would make accused liable to one hundred and sixty years’ imprisonment. Samuel Pearce, for forgery, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment;
