Hardly a single Canadian newspaper commends Mr Winston Churchill’s appointment as Under-Secrotary for the Colonial Office. WORKERS’ REPRESENTATION IN PARLIAMENT. LONDON, December 15. The Parliamentary Committee of the British Trades Unions’ Congress appealed to the workers to vote only for candidates pledged to the Trades Union programme, and willing to assist labour to non its natural rights, including a higher standard of living. Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman will address the London Liberal Federation on December 21, in the Albert Hall. The dissolution of Parliament is expected on January 8. Earl felgin, replying to the AgentsGcneral’s congratulations, said that he would do his utmost to promote the interests of the Empire.
