JVIr J. M'Arthur has arrived in Christchurch from Hanmer. Mrs J. Williams went south yesterday by the second express. Mr H. Friedlander returned to Ashburton yesterday morning. The position •of kindergarten mistress at the Wellington Training. College for Teachers 'has been given to Miss Rachel Richmond. There were twelve applications from Great Britain and eighteen from New- Zealand and Australia.
