THE CHINESE STOWAWAY.
MURDER OR SUICIDE P United Press Association —By Elestrio v Telegraph—Copyright. • N SYDNEY, December 14. According to a fellow-stowaway, the Chinaman was too sick to get ashore, and demanded a return of the money paid to enable him to stowaway, which the Chinese portion of the Airlie's crew received. The latter declined to refund the money, and threw him into the harbour. The police, however, favour the theory of suicide. (Recently the body, of a Chinaman was found in Sydney Harbour with a rope round the neck. It was identified as a stowaway who arrived in the steamer Airlie. It was supposed at the time that it was a cace ot suicide, but subsequently the police obtained information which raised suspicions of foul play on the part of some of the Chinese "crew of the Airlie.)
