STORMS IN THE TASMAN SEA. United Press Association — By iAedtno Telegraph.—Copyright. SYDNEY, October 25. A heavy southerly gal© is blowing on tho coast, and the Government meteorologist predicts heavy weather between Sydney and Wellington.. After a few fin© days, rain began to fall in Christchurch at an early hour yesterday morning, and continued intermittently during the day. In the evening steady rain set in, and at an early hour this morning there was no sign of tho weather blearing. Sowing operations were again brought to a standstill by rain in North Canterbury yesterday. At Hanmer, snow fell to a depth or five or six inches.
