Municipal Corporations Act, 1000," and “Tlfct Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901, public portico is bercT?jr riven ibaA tlie foJlowing RESOLUTION, vrihioih is intended to be made a SPECIAL ORDER, was passed by ths CHRISTCHUR OH CITY COUNCIL,. «t a special meeting* of the said Council held on ths 16th day of October, 1905, at 7.20 o’clock p.m.:— , „ “That whereas the Christchurch City Council, being a local authority within the moaning of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1961,” is indebted in respect of ml\ overdraft at its Bankers and for, liabilities lawfully incurred for the purpose of' providing and installing an electrical plant , in connection with the - City ■ Destructor and Hho distribution of electrical energy generated thereby being purposes for which a special loan may be raised NOW THEREFORE, and in pursuance of the authority conferred by Section 14 of ‘ The Local Bodies Loans ACt, 1901,’ the said Christchurch City Council doth resolve that a special loan of Eleven Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds (£11,450) shall be raised by special order of the Council for the purpose, of repaying the /said existing overdraft and liabilities. The eecurity for 1 the said loan shall be the said electrical- plant and all ■ accessories plant and material connected therewith and the distributors, together with an additional 200 kilowatt generating unit Intended and about to be installed and added thereto, and the revenues derivable therefrom. The ’ said special loan shall be raised by the issue .of one hundred and fourteen debentures of the value of one hundred pounds each and one debenture, of/the value of fifty pounds repayable on the thirtieth day of December, 1925, and bearing interest in the meantime at the rate of £4 10s , per centum per annum payable by equal half-yearly instalments on the thirtieth day of June and the thirtieth day of December in each year together - with a Sinking Fund of three pounds three shillings per centum per annum on the sum raised - which said- percentage shall be and the Council hereby .undertakes to provide to meet the said loan' at maturity. - “ That this resolution be submitted to a meeting of this Council, to be held in the City Council Chamber, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, at 7.30 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 13th day of November, 1903, for confirmation a-3 a special order.” And public notice ia hereby further given that a meeting of the Council will be held at the City Council Chamber, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, on Monday, the 13th day of November, 1905, at 7.30 o’clock •p.m., _ at which the said resolution will be •übmdtted for confirmation as a special order of the Council. .Dated this 18lh day. of October, 1905.
