JUSTICES AND THEIR DUTIES
TO THE EPITOR. Sir, —Tho brilliant author of the paragraph which appeared in this morning’s “Times” with reference to Justices of the Peace and the Magisterial Bench was evidently as well informed as most of those whose special mission in .ufe appears to bo to asperse the holders of the Conynission of the Peace. As chairman on the occasion referred to by your reporter, permit me to say that I arrived'at the Court some ten minutes before the time for sitting. Had your reporter asked the clerk of the Court the reason for the delay he might have saved himself the trouble of looking foolish, which docs not much matter, and me the trouble of writing this correction, which matters a groat deal.—-I am, etc., W. W. COLLINS. Avonsid'e, March 30, 1905.
