THE VOLUNTEERS.
A meeting of the committee appointed by No. 5 Company Garrison Artillery Volunteers (Lyttelton Navals) to organise a Sports Club in connection with the company was held_ on Thursday night. It was decided to arrange for cricket, football and other recreations, both outdoor and indoor. Lieutenant Foster presented a. bagatelle table to the club. It was agreed to challenge other corps attending the Easter encampment to a game of football. The committee also decided to hold an “At Home ” in the drillshod on the evening of Thursday, April 13.
