CHARGE OF ASSAULT.
[Per Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, March- 31. A charge against two brothel's named Stott of assaulting Constable Holmes, when arresting J. A. Stott for theft of vegetables, commenced to-day. The prosecution alleged that the constable, who had been some days in the hospital, was violently resisted and kicked in the abdomen.
