A washout occurred on the Toko line yesterday, and the 7 p.m. train, consisting of engine L, a waggon and cream van, two carriages and a guard's van, fell a distance of ten feet. The. driver and fireman jumped inwards and escaped injury, but if they had remained in their usual positions they must have been seriously injured, and possibly, killed.
