DUNEDIN TRAMWAYS.
[From: Our Correspondent.] DUNEDIN, March 3. The Tramways Committee will recommend at to-morrow’s meeting of the City Council that the tender of Mr A. Pcrrv (£18,830) for the construction of the Lee Stream hydraulic works tunnel should be accepted, the work to ho completed in thirty months, and a bonus of £IOO be given for every month that the contract is completed before the expiration of that time. The city tramways for the fortnight ended Feb. 21 earned £2OO more than for the corresponding period last year, notwithstanding that the trams were then running on Sunday forenoons.
