,A LEADER BANQUETED. [Pee Press Association.] , ■ HAWERA, Dec. 15. , Mr G. H. Maunder, a resident of this district for twenty years,' who was a County Councillor, a. member of Taranaki Hospital' and Charitable Aid Board, as well as one' of the most energetic leaders of the no-license movement, was entertained at » banquet on the eve of his departure for New Plymouth, and presented with, an address. Speeches were made by ministers and others on several aspects of the noliccnso question, and the opinion was expressed that instead of receiving a set-back during the next three years, the prohibition movement would make great progress.
