A.'charge against Hook,- licensee of the ■Commercial Hotel, for selling liquor on a Sunday, was dismissed, the Stipendiary Magistrate exercising' the discretionary .power given under Section 87 of the Justices of"the Peace Act, on the ground that the, house was exceptionally well conducted ■and the licensee's wife was induced to supply liquor through'the truculent demeanourof the persons who demanded it.
