HOTEL ACCOMMODATION.

TO THE EDITOR.' ,

Sir, —I should have refrained from touching upon the subject of insufficient accommodation again, but I would like to say just a word or two in reply to your correspondent “ Boarding-house,” who caste a stigma which I cannot allow to pass unchallenged. For the information of your, correspondent, who appears to take a lively interest in my personal appearance, I append my full name and address, so that he can satisfy his curiosity at any time by giving me a call, when he will receive a hearty welcome. Of course, this is providing he is respectable. Perhaps I. may be too particular, and that may account for my being unable to locate “Boardinghouse” and his haven of refuge. (Notwithstanding that your correspondent may have enough and to spare, I still maintain that accommodation, is far too limited in Christchurch to suit the requirements, and this matter has been brought into prominence on more than one occasion. As a parting shot, permit me to remind “ Boardinghouse ” that I do not patronise hotels, andi hope that the day is not far distant when their doors will be doled, and then “ Boardinghouse ” can at least console himself with the fact that more of the lookedfor shekels will drop into his pocket, which I, for one, hope they will.—l am, etc., IRENE BAXTER. Beach Road, Ashburton.
