SUPREME COURT.
[Per Press Association.] WANGANUI, Sept. 29. At the Supreme Court to-day, Andrew Mathison was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment for tie theft of £2 7s 6d in money from this employer. The Crown Prosecutor stated that since tie charge had been laid other defalcations, amounting to £3OO, had been discovered. HOKITDXA, Sept. 29. The Supreme Court was occupied all the day and evening in tie hearing of a case of "indecent assault and theft against William Gregory. Tie case wa-s not completed wien the Court rose.
