A very large gathering assembled in thel Methodist Schoolroom, Richmond, last) night, to bid farewell to a very old resT- 1 dent, Mr R. J. Paull, who is leaving tha district. Mr H. B. Sorensen presided., Songs were first given by Misses Partridge* M'Gregor and Clarke, and l Messrs Eobarts„ F. M. Collins and Peterson, after which Mr J. Clarke moved—" That this meeting! of householders tenders to Mr R. J. Paull) its best thanks for his many services to| the district, especially as member, secretary and chairman of the Richmond School Committee; that the residents of the district deeply regret Mr Paull's departure* and heartily expresses its best wishes fori the future prosperity of himself, Mrs Paulll and family."
