An attem. t was made to stitch up the wound, but lbman was so violent- that this was found to be impossible. After some trouble the doctors succeeded in bandaging the woiinu. and the patient was made comfortable for the night. He will be examined as to his mental condition at the earliest opportunity, and in the meantime it is not anticipated that any serious trouble will result from his attempt at self-destruction.
