New Zealand beef, -1801 b to 2201 b per quarter, fair average quality, ox forequarters 3|d, os hindquarters unchanged. Wheat—Three Australian cargoes sold at 29s 6d per quarter. THE AGENT-GENERAL'S REPORT. [Per Press Association.] . WELLINGTON, June 23. The Agent-General's weekly cable message, dated London, June 21, is as follows : —''The mutton market is depressed. The average price of Canterbury mutton is 3Jd, of Dunedin, Southland and Wellington Meat 'Export Company's 3|d; of other North Island mutton 3|d. River Plate mutton 3|d. The' lamb market is weak. Stocks are heavy, and widely distributed amongst agents,' who" are' pushing sales. Canterbury lamb 4§d to River Plate lamb Beef is dull. New Zealand •hindquarters 4|d, forequarters 3£d. Hemp is dull and speculative; good, faii\ Wellington, on spot, £3O per ton, nominal, July and September shipment £27 10s per ton. There is no alteration in the cocksfoot market. Messrs Dalgety and Company, have received the following cable message from their London Office, under date June 20: —Frozen .Meat.—" Since our last telegram prices of frozen beef and mutton are lower by l-16d to per lb, and New Zealand frozen lamb by id per lb. Leather and Basils. —Since our last telegram prices of leather are higher by id per lb, and basils are lower by id to id per lb.
