ST. MARK'S YOUNG MEN'S CLUB.

A public meeting was held in Sfc Mark's Schoolroom, tOpawa, on Thursday evening, for the purpose of forming a Young- Men's Club in, the district. There were about' 25 persons present, and the vicar, the Rev P. J. Cocks, wa.s in the chair. The chairman introduced Mr AJlan, a member of the Sb Matthew's (St Albans), Young .Mem's^Guild, who gave the meeting some useful information as to the constitution, purposes and general management of these clubs. It was decided to form a club, -to be called St Mark's Young Men's Club, to -meet on one or more nights a week for recreation and improvement, and for literary and other discussions. Rules were drawn up, and officers and committee appointed. It was decided' to fix the subscription- to the club at 2s 6d till the end of September, when it would be decided whether it was to foe continued throughout'the year or only,for the winter months. The first meeting was fixed for the. following Wednesday -evening, and subsequent meetings for the Thuirsd'ays of each week. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Allen, and the meeting closed.
