' The Agent-General cables that the price of the Queensland loan is considered good in the present state of the money market, and in the faco of the fact that Britain proposes shortly to place a loan of sixty millions and the recent reverses in South Africa. NEWCASTLE COAL EXPORTS. NEWCASTLE, Oct. 1. The quantity of coal exported from Newcastle during the nine months ended Sep-* tember was 2,373,000 tons, an increase of 177,000 tons compared with the export during the corresponding period of last year. New Zealand took nearly 30,000 tons more than she took during the previous corresponding period. EXPORT OF BUTTER. SYDNEY, Oct. 1. The Government is promoting an export butter competition, and is offering substantial prizes. *• RECENT ROBBERIES. (Received Oct. 1, 10.9 p.m.) Tomlinsom has been sentenced to ten years' penal servitudes for the White Cliffs robbery. Herbert and Joseph Minton have been each sentenced 1 to twelve years' penal servitude for attempting to rob the bank at Henty and shooting the manager. THE WRECK OF THE MOONSTONE.
