Scott, of Otago, played in) the first round, but gave the game to his opponent because he was ill. Tne following are results; FIRST ROUND. W. Higginson (Wellington) beat K. Duncan (Weilingion) by 3 up and 2 to play. Pare Keiha (Poverty Bay) beat F. -S. Hod-son, (Wellington) at the 19th hole. A. • B. Laurence (Auckland) beat H. Piercy (Wellington) by 3 tup and 1 to play. A. Duncan (Wellington) beat J. B. Kyd (Auckland 1 ) by 9 up and 8 to play. W. B. Calebeck (Auckland), D. B. Howden (Hutt) and! K. Tareha (Hawke’s Bay) all won by default. 'SECOND ROUND. E. Wilder (Christchurch) beat E'. D. -Stronach (Otago) by 5 up and 4 to play. t G. T. Bull (Poverty Bay) • beat G. M. GuinesS (Auckland) by 4 up and 2 to play. Pare Keiha beat Higginson by 6 up and 4 to play. , ! A, Duncan, beat Laurence by 5 upland 5 to play. , Colbeck beat Howden by 7 up and 6 to play. • ■ Tareha beat E. S.
