PRESENTATIONS.
Mr E. C. D’Esterre, who has been associated with the reporting staff of the “ Lyttelton Times ” for some time, has accepted an appointment on the “ New Zealand Times,” and left for Wellington on Saturday night to take up his new duties. The literary staff of the “ Lytteltoh Tames ” on Saturday afternoon presented Mr D’Esterre with a number of useful standard reference works as a souvenir cl his association with this journal. Mr S. Saunders, editor of the “Lyttelton Times,” made the presentation, accompanying it with a few happy and appreciative remarks concerning Mr D’Esterre’s connection with the paper. Mr D’Esterre responded briefly.
