Mr OA. I. Rattray, Secretary of the various trotting clubs in the Christehurch district, has been confined to bed all the week by influenza. Mr J. G. Woolley and the Rev F. W. Isitt arrived from Wellington by the Tarawera yesterday. The Rev Father Holley left for Wellington by the s.s. Monowai, yesterday evening. Mr Hyde, the Government Poultry Expert, was in the northern district, yesterday, and paid a visit to Mr E. Wilder’s extensive poultry farm, at Ngapara, Fernside, where he found much to interest and please him.»
