WEST MELTON. The monthly sale at West Meltcn was held on Monday. There was a fair entry of sheep,. most. of which were merino ew«s. Wethers, made 15s to 15s 9d, ewes and lambs (all counted) 8s 6d, merino ewes 6s to lis, cross-bred ewes in lamb 12s 6d to 153 lid.

ASHBURTON HORSE MARKET. Messrs Friedlacder Bros., 'Limited, Ashburton, held their usual monthly horse fair yesterday, when about 100 head of horses were' offered. There was a good attendance 'of buyers, and i\w following prices were obtained: —Draught geldings (unbroken) £24 to £3l, .fillies £33, geldings (broken) £25, £39, £45, maws £33 and 51 guineas, light harness horses £ls to £l7.
