FRAUDULENT BANKRUPTCY.

[Per Press Association*.] NEW PLYMOUTH August 22. W. D. Scott the Opunake auctioneer who was yesterday foiM guilty in the District Court of theft of money, came up for sentence this •morning. Judge Kettle said that Scott appeared to have no criminal intent, so, rather, than imprison him, he would order him to enter into two bonds of £SO each far twelve months for good behaviour, and also pay the costs of the prosecution, and £67, the amount of two dishonoured bills.
