For Dunedin direct, also Tasmania, Australia (due Melbourne Sept. 1), Ceylon, India, China, Straits Settlement and South Africa, also Continent of Europe and United Kingdom (due London Oct. 8), specially addressed via Brindisi, per Elinganvite, to connect with Waihora, at 3 p.m.; late feo letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Te Anau, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m.; guard 3 van, 5.30 p.m. train. For Northern Posts and Westport, per Tarawera, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard's van, in front of 9.15 p.m. train.
The next best despatch for the United Kingdom is via San Francisco, leaving Chnst-chu-ch on Sent. 4, and due London Oct. 5. Mails for Fiji, per Ovalau, close at Auckland on Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. Mails for South Africa close at Melbourne on August 24 and Seot. 3. . .
