A CHARGE DISMISSED.
[Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, August 21. The hearing of the charge against. Elizabeth Hiscock, a young woman about twenty years, of having murdered her infant male child, was continued to-day. Dr Hall, house surgeon 1 at the hospital, who examined/ the accused on May 13, said that it was highly improbable that he would not have noticed her condition if she was the mother of the infant whose body was found Mr Graham, S.M., without calling on the defence, said that after Dr Hall’s statement no jury would convict on the evidence, and hw would take the responsibility of dismissing the case.
