Before the Conciliation. Board to-day, the .Colonial Sugar and Refining Company applied for exemption under the Workmen’s Compensation) for Accidents Aot, which provides that the Board may, after ascertaining the views of employers and workers, certify that any scheme of oomparwataon not less favourable than tio provisions of the Act permits may be substituted. The Board agreed to issue a. certificate of exemption forthwith. ■
