CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, August 21
At the Supreme Court Mr Reed 1 , counsel for Dr Wilkin*, applied that the charge of manslaughter against the. accused should be taken next week. He said that to keep his client in suspense till November, as suggested, would amount to positive cruelty. His Honor said that he considered that an accused person had a right to demand a hew trial at once. His Honor fixed the 'trial for next Monday.
