ENTERTAINMENTS.
A very successful social was held in St John's Schoolroom last evening, under the auspices of the New Zealand Natives' Association. The evening started with a progressive euohre tournament, in which Misses Barry and Collinson and Messrs Pavitt and Vickerman proved prize-winners. At about 10.50 p.m. the floor was cleared, and the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing. Miss E. Curlitt provided the music. It is intended to follow, up the social with fortnightly meetings. Fetrry, "itlh-e 'human frog," played before a good 'house) in the Town Hall, Adding ton, last evening, and' he was emthusJastically received, and encored several times for his strange andi weatrd performance. The otte perfonnara wore also very successful!. A kinemiatograpih reipreisenita'tion of the famous Oberammergau Passion Play was reproduced, and was much appreciated' by the audience.
