NAVAL BOILER TEST.
THE RACE FROM GIBRALTAR TO PORTSMOUTH. Unshed Press Association—By Electric -Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, July 21. The warship Minerva beat H.M.S. Hyacinth in the boiler test race from Gibraltar to Portsmouth. (The race was for the purpose of testing the comparative values of the Belleville and the Scotch boilers. The winner was fitted with the Scotch boilers, and H.M.S. Hyacinth earned the Belleville boilers.)
