This useful guide to gardeners is contributed by a horticulturist of the highest qualifications and experience, and is followed with success in all parts of New Zealand. Special artioles on the cultivation of various plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables appear at the proper seasons. POULTRY. Special attention is given to practical Poultrykeeping, and advice is fully given by an experienced Poultry-keeper to beginners and others, while "the fancy" is not neglected. CRICKET AND FOOTBALL. The " Canterbury Times" deals with these popular forms of athletic sport in a manner at onc« interesting, comprehensive and' impartial. ATHLETIC. The department devoted to Athletics is under most careful and capable supervision, and gives an entertaining and reliable account of Athletio matters in the colony and elsewHera. CYCLING. The pages, allotted to Cycling contain trustworthy accounts of all the important achievements whether on the road or track, in New Zealand or in other countries. Cycling for Ladies is a special feature of this department, which contains much that every rider, whether professional or amateur, veterans or novice, should read. t|l NAVY, ARMY AND VOLUNTEERS.
