THE HORTICULTURAL CONFERENCE.
[Pee Peess Association.] DUNEDIN, June 25. The conference of delegates of the horticultural societies continued its sittings today. A committee ot one representative from each province was appointed to draft an Orchard and Garden Pests Bill. Air Coleman P nil lips read a paper on the small bird nuisance. After discussion it was resolved that the administration of the Small Birds Pest Act should be taken out of the hands of local bodies and the Act administered by the Government. Four papers on fruit culture and four on fruit storing were discussed.
