HORTICULTURAL CONFERENCE.
[Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, Juno 24. A conference of delegates cf horticultural societies was opened by an address by Mr A. Moritzson, president of the Dunedin Society. As mat gentilaincin could nob act, Mr H. Beetham wa® appointed chairman. At the evening sotting, papers were read by Mr Grubb, on “ Cod'lin Moth ” ; by Mr Ffitch, Uovt rnmer.t expert, cn “ Spraying ” and by Mr Grapes, Obafci, on “ Fruit Pests From a National Aspect.” It was resolved to ask tie Government to pass an Orchard and Garden Pests Bill, on lines to be suggested by the committee appointed to daw up a Bill, such measure to be approved by the whole of the delegates.
