MARKET REPORTS.

GRAIN AND PRODUCE. , There is little or no change in the local grain or produce markets to report during the past few days. Holders of wheat and oats are *both declining to offer at ohe prices quoted' below, which are, therefore, purely nominal. The same remark applies to growers of potatoes, as In spite of the offer of £5 10s per ton on delivery, very little business has 'transpired, and in one instance this price was refused for a line of 500 jtons. There is very little demand from either Sydney, Wellington or Dunedin, and it is only from Auckland and the West Coast that orders are now being received,-, and, of course, these do not absorb any quantity.'There must’ still be plenty of potatoes in Canterbury, as the exports up to the present time do not amount to, more than a. quarter of the estimated yield of; this season, so it is very difficult to say what the future of the market may be. Onions remain without alteration, but good parcels are rather hard to procure. .Dairy produce is firm, without alteration in price.
