AN EXPENSIVE MISTAKE IN DESIGN. United. Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, June 16. In the House of Commons, Mr Balfour admitted that a great error in design had been made by Sir W. H. White, the exDireetor of Naval Construction for the \ building of the Royal yacht Victoria and Albert. This error, involved a serious expenditure, but the alterations which' had been made had resulted in the yacht being stable and seaworthy.
