THE OPERA HOUSE.

There was a large audience at the Opera House last evening, when Dix’s Gaiety Company gave another varied and amusing per'formance. A new first part was introduced, in which most of the members of the company took part, and nearly every item was encored. The principal feature 1 of the evening was the first appearance of “ Ferry, the human frog.” and his performance was a marvellous one. Ferry appeared on the stage attired as a frog, and after going through some difficult evolutious on the stage, he mounted tbs stump of a tree, about seven feet in height, and while there went through some wonderful contortions, twisting his body and limbs in the most extraordinary and unnatural positions. He then, did some extremely difficult feats on a pillar about a couple of inches in circumference on rue to’p’ of the stump. Ferry appears to be absolutely boneless, and gets into and out of. the most extraordinary positions without an apparent effort. The per-, formance was undoubtedly the best of its kind ever seen here, and Ferry was recalled three times. The company will appear again this evening.
