A NEW CONVENT.
[Per Press Association'.] DUNEDIN, Feb. 17. The foundation stone of a new convent for. the Sisters of Mercy, at South T)unedir\, was laid to-day by Archbishop Redwood, in the presence of a large attendance. Pontifical high mass was celebrated by Bishop Grimes, Archbishop Carr,' of Melbourne, being" the preacher. The amount laid on the stone as contributions was nearly £SOO.
