RAILWAY ACCIDENTS.
COLLISION AT PORT CHALMERS. [Fe6m Our Corrkspo.vdent.] DUNEDIN, Feb. 16. A Departmental inquiry has been held at Port Chalmers during the past two days into the circumstances attending a collision between two trains at that station on Feb. 2. The proceedings were conducted by the Traffic Superintendent and the Railway District Engineer, and the evidence taken has ; been forwarded to the Minister of Railways for his decision. AN" ENGINE ' DERAILED. [From Our Correspondent.] DUNEDIN, Feb. 16. An engine drawing an ordinary goods train, which left Dunedin at 4 p.m. yesterday, -\\-ns derailed at Waikouaiti, about the same spot where a similar mishap occurred some time ago. The line was promptly cleared.
