United Press Association—By.'Eleptric Telegraph—Copyright.. SYDNEY. Feb. 16. The steaming times from Auckland to inside Heads are given as:—Mararoa, 3 days 7hr; Sonoma, 3days 3hr 45min. The steamers experienced fine weather and a smooth sea tilL the morning of Feb. 15,wben the weather became thick and rainy, with a moderate south-easterly wind. (Received Feb. 18, 1.6 a.m.) SYDNEf, Feb. 17. The Sonoma beat- the Moana's record of 3 days 4hr. She did 425 miles on the first, day, 430 on tho second day, -<tnd averaged 171- knots an hour. The Mararoa put up 396 miles in one day. A cablegram from Sydney states that the Mararoa arrived there on Saturday morning at ten minutes' to seven and the Sonc-ma at thirty-six minutes past eight. The Mararoa left Auckland at 11.45 p.m. on Tuesday, and the Sonoma at 5.30 a.m. on Wednesday.
