IP you understand anything about art-china and art-clay ware, we should like you to come and' see some goods in that line.that we consider RATHER OUT OF THE COMMON' If tou should happen to tea a oonnoisseur you will be charmed with these goods; you will recognise at * glance their undoubted merit. Ir you are 'NO JUDGE, it doesn't matter. You at least know a beauts ful thing when you see it, and we should like to have'your candid opinion concerning these articles. Don't imagine there is the slightest occasion to buy-, unless, of course, YOU FEEL TEMPTED to do so. This is merely an invitation to spend ten minutes (or half-an-hour, if you can spare the time) amongst our china <md clay novelties. We venture to say you wiJ find the experience a pleasant one. We would direct your particular attention to some really BEAUTIFUL STATUETTES in clay. Amongst these are single figures and groups of figures illustrative of many a familiar story (real or fabulous), such, for example, as "Una and the Lion," " Kebecca at the 'Well,' Falstaff and Dame Quickly," " Joan of Arc, The Sphinx and an Egyptian Maiden, The Knight and the Lady," , a reversible figure, showing the lady on one aide, the knight on the other. A CHARMING GROUP of three female figures is illustrative of the Arts of " Music, Painting and Literature," while a picturesquely attired boy, armed with bowl and clay-pipe, is shown in the act of blowing bubbles"., Then there is our old friend " Robin Hood," with his " bugle-horn " slung about him; and a pair oi rustic lovers compel yon to laugh. The swain is evidently deeply enamoured, while the coy look on the maiden's face is wonderfully depicted. All these figures are ir). soft and beautifully harmonious colours, and they are each and all of them FIT TO ADORN', ANY DRA.WINGEOOM IN THE LAND. They have only just arrived from Germany. Examples of the LOVELY DOULTON WARE are numerou'3. There are exquisite tea-seta in quaint ah-ipes and chaste designs. The colourings are in all cases very beautiful. One set is in shades of blue. A deep royal blue blends most prettily with stone-blue and skyblue tints on the upper half of each article; the lower half being a pearly white. Then there ia a set in which 'the ground is a pile blush-rose, with hints of gold-eiy-yellow. Scattered ovor this are spring flowers, the pink blossoms contrasting very sweetly with the other shades. JARDINIERES of various shapes, sizes,, and colourings are sure to attract attention. So afeo is the EXQUISITE IMITATION DRESDEN WARE. ' The imitation of the famous Dresden china is so close tba't it really requires an expert to distinguish it from the real article. We have here, most faithfully reproduced, the nymphs and swains, the shepherds and shepherdesses, the flowers and foliage, etc., etc. so familiar in examples of genuine Dresden. But these imitations COST BUT A THIRD, OR LESS, of the money demanded for the genuine. The above specimens, together with numerous others, quite as beautiful and attractive, NOW ON VIEW! ALL WHO CAN should avail themselves of our invitation, and come and see our collection of china and clay goods. Such articles are not fo be met with every day iw -New Zealand.
