CONGREGATIONAL UNION.
The conference of ministers in connection with the' Congregational Union was nut continued on Saturday, buc instead several detached _ conferences were held. In the afternoon' the ministers and delegates were taken by river to Burwo-od, and attended, a piclfic in Mr George King's grounds. Yesterday there wvre higi ejngiega-tiong at Trinity* Congregational Church at both services. The Rev A. Hodge, cf St Clair, preached in the rooming, ard the ~Rcv E. Taylor, of Port Chalmers, ..n the evening. At 9.30 a.m. to-day there will be a meting for praver and conference; at 10.3 A a.m. the Council will si't; at 2.30 p.m. thft Rev A. will deliver an address on " Loyally to Our Own Church £-nd Denomination ; 'How to Foster it." At 7.30 p.m. there will be a Home missionary, meeting, ai which -addresses w& be given by th* Rev H. W. J. Miller, entitled, an " Hi»torieal Review," and the Rev. C. Davidson ■will-.speak on-" Personal Experiences." '
