UNREST IN SPAIN.
DISTURBANCES IN MADRID. CONFLICT BETWEEN POLICE AND POPULACE. A STATE OF SIEGE PROCLAIMED. RIOTING IN THE PROVINCES. United Press Association—By Electro Telegraph—Copyright. MADRID, Feb. 14. Continuous rioting took place in the city to-day. Volleys of missiles Were thrown from windows and balconies, arid numbers of the police were injured. Cries of “ Death to Caeeita” and “The Princess of Asturias must not marry,” were heard in the streets. 'The mobs were frequently charged, and many persons were wounded. A state of siege has been proclaimed. The populace is equally violent in the provinces. The Carmelite Priory at Santander was sacked and set. on fire, and the Bishop’s Palace stoned, and the windows of Carhsts’ houses were smashed.
‘ A collision took place between the gendarmes and the mob at Valencia, and one person was killed.
