FIRES.

A fire .■occurred -lost' night in. a five-roomed house -in Dean Street, fib Aiba-ns. The -alarm was given about nine o'clock, and the .Brigade wont out, but the house was burned to the ground. The owner and occupier of the house is Mr Thomas B. Snaus. The house was new, and the fire was caused hy the upsetting of a- kerosene lamp in the pantry. A north-west wind helped the flames to spread rapidly, and only a, few articles of furniture were saved. There was an insurance of £2OO on- the furniture, and the building itself was also'insured. Last night, about ten o'clock, a fire-alarm called the Brigade to Richmond to extinguish a blazing live fence, a considerable extant of which was destroyed before the progress of the flames was stopped.- - About midday on Wednesday a fire tirokc out in a' plantation situated about two miles north of Dromore.
