ENTERTAINMENTS.
The Macdonald and Fraser Scotch Concert Company’s concert in aid of die widow and family of the hue Fmkdick Mantel!, was held in tho Mission Hall, Sydenham, last evening, when the accommodation of the building was taxed to its utmost. A long and interesting programme was submitted, and the Engineers' and Pipers’ Bands were in attendance. ‘several Scottish, Irish and sword dances were included in the entertainment, of which almost every item was encored. Songs were contributed, by Airs’ R. Alacdonald, Alisses Buchanan, and O’Keefe, find Messrs R. Alacdonald, J. Eraser and Master O’Keefe. Fuller’s Bijou Company was again greeted by a good audience in tho Oddfellows’ Mail, last evening, when Miss Rose Belmont, Miss May Marlow, Air W. Stevens, and -other performers delighted those present with songs and jokes. Public interest in Dix’s Gaiety Company is well maintained. Last evening there was a good audience, and. again most- of tho items were encored. On Saturday, a newfirst part, entitled “ Our American Cousins,” will be produced, and on Alonday " Perry,' the “ human frog,” will make his first appearance. “ Ferry ” has performed with success in America and Australia, and is said to be very amusing.
